Positive Thinking: 5 Great Ways to Impart It

Positive Thinking: 5 Great Ways to Impart It

Positive Thinking is more than just a phrase; it is a way of life.

What precisely do you think it is? Keep this question in mind.

Envision a particular situation: You might see yourself as an average student in class because you feel you’re not great at studies. But here’s the thing – what we believe about ourselves can strongly influence our performance. When you find something or someone that motivates you, it’s like a burst of energy that helps you do well in school. So, even if you think you’re just okay in studies, a little motivation can make a big difference and help you shine.

What gives rise to Positive Thinking?

When we feel uncomfortable, what should we do? Well, most folks tend to chat with family, friends or loved ones. But you know what’s crucial? It’s speaking positively to yourself.

Let’s explore a significant distinction between talking to others and engaging in self-talk:

Sharing your feelings with others can be both exciting and complicated because everyone sees things differently. People might suggest what they think is good from their point of view. However, it’s essential to understand that what works for them might not be the best for you. Their thoughts or advice may not always lead to positive results for your specific situation.

On the contrary, when you embrace self-talk, you become aware of yourself, understanding exactly what you feel. You are more likely to analyze the specific emotion you are facing.

Let’s see an example: Once, a boy was living in an urban city and he came to a village with his school group for a camp. When he saw the way kids in the village lived, he realized that they don’t have what we have.

Actually, he was a boy who always felt that he didn’t have anything. But when he saw this situation, he realized that he had more than the kids in that village. This is a self-realization that tells us about our own nature, identity and potential. It stems from self-talk—a deep process.

 Positive Thinking

We all acknowledge that, initially, we may struggle to think positively. Therefore, let’s explore five amazing ways to instill positive thinking.

1. Surround Yourself with Positive Vibes

Choose to stay in an environment that fosters positivity and provides you with the energy required to excel in your work. Surrounding yourself with a positive atmosphere not only improves your well-being but also propels you towards achieving more of your goals.

The company of good people in your surroundings encourages you to embrace their opinions and ideas, which can be beneficial for you. Engaging in discussions, open communication and meeting different personalities inspire you to generate new ideas and refine your thoughts. You just have to be in an environment where you feel respected and receive positive vibes that will make you think in a positive way.

2. Positive Affirmations

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, our minds can often grow weary, leading to the intrusion of negative thoughts like “I can’t do this anymore.” Yet, we overlook the fact that these thoughts often undermine our actual capabilities. Taking a moment to prioritize self-care and self-reflection can be crucial. We can’t always rely on others to provide us with the best advice; sometimes, we need to be our own source of encouragement.

You can practice this exercise:

1 hour before going to sleep take paper and pen and write good about yourself such as:

1. I am confident and resilient.

2. I am worthy of love and respect.

3. I choose to focus on the present moment and let go of worries about the future.

4. I deserve success and will attract positive opportunities into my life.

This helpful habit not only makes you feel good about yourself but also builds a strong mindset and a mind that knows how to handle challenges wisely. When we think positively about ourselves, negative comments from others don’t bother us.

3. Practice Gratitude

“ Every thank you is a seed planted and with time, it grows into a garden of positivity that nourishes both the giver and the receiver”

When someone helps you, the assistance can manifest in various ways; however, you should always be grateful because it brings joy to the person who aided you. It creates a strong connection between you and that individual.

The practice of gratitude is not confined to just receiving help. As a child, you can express gratitude to your parents for providing everything you need and as an adult, you can thank your peers for their support and understanding. Before having a meal, you can take a moment to appreciate the food on your plate. These small gestures make you more mindful, which is necessary in life.

4. Focus on Solutions

In our daily lives, we study, learn and focus on things that are important to us as well as analyze. However, when we encounter a particular problem, we sometimes forget our thinking ability. What if we employ these powerful words, such as study, learn, focus and analyze? Utilizing these words to find a solution to the problem will undoubtedly help you tackle it and find the best solution for yourself.

You just have to do this practice which will give you the best solution:

Let’s take an example: You came to a new city for a job and rented a room, but you are facing difficulties settling in. In this situation, this technique will help you effectively.

1. Study: In this situation, studying means finding differences between living at home and living in a rented room.

2. Learn: Understanding that it will take some time to adjust.

3. Focus: Paying more attention to the goal rather than small issues.

4. Analyse: Analysing the pros and cons of this situation.

Under various circumstances, when you practice this, you become a master at finding the best solution. This improves your thinking ability and motivates positive thinking.

5. Meditation and Mindfulness

The significance of every small endeavor cannot be overstated in promoting our well-being. Spending just 5 minutes each day on meditation and deep breathing offers serenity, fostering mindfulness and presence.

Whenever you feel down or can’t think properly, this is a powerful technique to employ. Just give it a try.

In conclusion, you need to prioritize your mental well-being and cultivate a strong, growth-oriented mindset. By incorporating these practical strategies into your daily routine, you will undoubtedly begin to think positively and inspire others to embrace a similar mindset.
