Introduction | Learning Game
Learning a Game, though it may sound mysterious, is a curious thing for children. It means learning in a fun way, just like a game! In school, we learn in an environment with a curriculum and theoretical knowledge, but what if there is an easier way to understand it better?
There are many children who lack the ability to gain knowledge and relevant information. However, this does not always mean that their learning ability is weak. This is because their learning methods are different.
Maybe you have noticed that there are types of learners such as Visual learners, Auditory learners and Read/write learners who prefer to process information through reading and writing and lastly, the most interesting, Kinesthetic learners who prefer to process information through hands-on experiences. These learners seek to gain knowledge according to their understanding and preferences, which helps them succeed in their educational goals.
In this blog, we are going to discover the hidden side of learning game, which will benefit children in educating themselves in a nurturing and fun way.
The Hidden Side of Learning Game
1. Theoretical vs Practical Learning
As we all know, theoretical learning means learning through textbooks, books and attending lectures. This gives us a deeper understanding of the concepts and theories behind a subject.
On the other hand, practical learning helps us understand the real world with hands-on experience. This learning method encourages skills development and critical thinking, which are required in today’s technology world.
Both learning methods are essential to gain knowledge in the educational journey. However, here are some ways you can make it interesting, just like enjoying the learning game.
a. Try this in Theoretical Learning
When you learn a particular subject and look for something interesting in it, you can do the following:
1. Discuss the topic with your peers. You can also ask your parents for their perspective on it. Discussing with different people helps you to understand the concept better.
2. If you find understanding the concept difficult, try using visual aids such as graphs, charts and videos. This will help you grasp the ideas more easily.
3. The third and most beneficial is gamification. Various educational games, such as puzzles, quizzes and logic games, encourage you to enhance your understanding in an engaging manner.
b. Give Practical Learning a Go
If you enjoy observing things, learning from outdoor activities and field trips can be the best way for you.
Outdoor learning, such as visiting different places like historical sites, museums and nature reserves, not only helps you explore but also amazes you, encouraging you to think and learn from them.
If you like learning with your friends, you can participate in science projects, discuss them and share your skills and ideas.
This method makes learning engaging and encourages you to build confidence not only in participating but also in any endeavor.
2. Reading the book
If you feel a particular subject is boring, then try reading books related to it. We know that sometimes reading books can feel boring, but make sure you choose interesting ones.
To make reading interesting try this:
1. Make notes while reading a particular paragraph.
2. While reading, sit in an environment where you can explore the books better.
3. Try reading with your siblings or friends.
4. Read aloud and make note of new words.
These practices will automatically develop your reading habits. Once they are developed, you will be more likely to discover various books related to your subject and make learning engaging.
3. Using Technology
Sometimes, self-study alone may not be as fulfilling as we desire. We seek something engaging in it.

In our daily lives, we use mobile phones and desktops for entertainment and fun. However, try to utilize these devices for learning by using educational apps such as Duolingo, Quizlet, Brainstorm games, Sudoku and many more.
These apps make learning fascinating, helping you understand from basic to advanced levels.
4. Building a Great Personality
In school, you theoretically learn about personal development. But what about implementing it in real life?
To learn it practically, you must try this:
1. Build healthy connections with the people you surround yourself with.
( This promotes Social Intelligence )
2. Try new hobbies or engage in public speaking.
( Contribute to Personal Growth )
3. Focus on setting short-term and long-term goals. This can be about learning or the things you want to achieve in your life.

4. Spend time with yourself and observe how you feel and behave.
( Helping you to balance your emotions and work to make them better )
5. Embrace self-reflection and try journaling your thoughts.
( It fosters the development of clear-mindedness )
These learning methods are already familiar to you, but with the right approach, you have to embrace them to make your learning experience amazing and understandable.
Here are more ways as a student that you can implement to make your educational journey fulfilling.
1. Welcoming challenges.
2. Practicing mindfulness.
3. Exploring different places to learn something new.
4. Trying creative activities to sharpen your mind.
